Future Build are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a well-established construction company specialising in Groundworks & Earthworks. The roles consists of overseeing the commercial and contractual management of projects from inception to final account, ensuring successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Handling payment applications, including assessing variations and financial impacts Negotiating interim payment amounts with stakeholders and tracking payment timelines Collaborating on project budgets with contracts managers and operations leadership Overseeing monthly reporting and cost value reconciliation processes Monitoring budget performance and cost projections monthly Managing subcontractor relations from enquiries to final accounts Supporting tender processes and ensuring contractual obligations are met Providing commercial advice and resolving issues for contracts managers Conducting site visits for variation monitoring and record-keeping Leading and developing teams, providing performance feedback Cultivating and managing client relationships to enhance company reputation Producing concise commercial reports reflecting contractual performance The Ideal Candidate: Holds a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and communication skills Familiarity with standard forms of contracts like JCT Effective team player with ability to work under pressure Proficient in MS Office and finance software Previous experience in QS roles, preferably in demolition or enabling works Experience in subcontractor management and procurement Possesses a valid UK Driving Licence Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Company car or car allowance Workplace Pension Scheme Life assurance and medical insurance options Generous holiday allowance Training and career development opportunities Supportive team environment with company social events Onsite parking facilities
