Had Fab is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team at our fabrication facility in Tranent.
This is a practical, hands on role supporting our Quality Lead and working closely with Operations and Project teams. You’ll be out on the shop floor as much as you are reviewing systems and documentation, helping us maintain high standards while continuously improving the way we work.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly, enjoys solving problems and is comfortable working closely with production teams.
The role will involve:
* Supporting and developing our ISO 9001 Quality Management System
* Producing and managing Inspection and Test Plans and project quality documentation
* Investigating non conformances and customer complaints, identifying root causes and corrective actions
* Carrying out shop floor inspections
* Supporting internal, customer and supplier audits
* Monitoring quality performance and identifying improvements
* Working closely with Supervisors, Operations and Project Managers
You’ll bring:
Experience in a quality role within manufacturing, engineering or fabrication
A good understanding of ISO 9001
Strong attention to detail and practical problem solving skills
Confidence working directly with operational teams
A proactive and hands on approach
Experience in root cause analysis or internal auditing would be beneficial
