We are now recruiting for a Purchasing and Planning Graduate to maintain and support our forward‑looking planning function across our product range.
Responsibilities
* Be involved in order inputting, liaising with Sales on delivery dates, agree delivery dates prior to Order Input
* Interact between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions
* Maximise use of the order management system and ensure visibility of all orders
* Produce and publish metrics as required
* Maximise our Shipping Performance and achieves our On‑time Delivery Goals
* Take ownership of, and plan all products through Manufacturing Cells
* Identify critical items and issues, and resolve them
* Investigate available capacity vs. likely load
* Support function for team members in production and purchasing during absences
Essential Qualifications
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to make decisions within guidelines and take responsibility for these is essential
* Ability to meet time frames and work under pressure is important
* Good analytical and numeracy skills
* Strong systems and Excel knowledge
Desirable Qualifications
* ERP planning experience
* Production planning system experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX
* Previous exposure working in a manufacturing and assembly organisation
* Engineering competence in relation to machining and assembly and a suitable level of product and organisational familiarisation is a distinct advantage
* Business administration qualification.
