MSK Children's Physiotherapist (Band 5) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 MSK Children’s Physiotherapist to join our Children’s Physiotherapy team at Crystal Children’s Development Centre. This is a community-based role working with children and young people with musculoskeletal conditions. We work Monday to Friday with no evening or weekend working. We will offer you support to develop into the role through, regular clinical supervision and joint working, in-service training, away days, regular management supervision linked to appraisals and identifying learning / training needs with opportunities for Continued Professional Development. We are ideally located in the south of London, with excellent links to central London (15-20 min to Victoria and London bridge Train stations) but also the countryside including Box Hill. This role may also suit an experienced physiotherapist who is looking to start a career in paediatric physiotherapy or a physiotherapist looking to return to practice. Manage a varied paediatric caseload, providing assessment and treatment for children with musculoskeletal conditions • Work closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues to develop individualised treatment plans. • Support and supervise junior staff and students. • Contribute to service development initiatives and ensure high standards of clinical practice. • Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audit and governance activity Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. As well as offering access to a range of core skills training and professional development. • Independently manage a paediatric caseload of children with musculoskeletal presentations. • Carry out comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans using evidence-based practice. • Work in close partnership with families and carers, offering advice, and support to promote ongoing management. • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary teams. • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement projects as directed by senior staff. • Support the training and supervision of physiotherapy students • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HCPC, CSP, and Trust governance standards. Key skills required: • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues. • Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a busy community service.
