Finance Assistant
Bury St Edmunds
£35,000 (Pro rata 10 month maternity cover contract)
Urgently looking for a Finance Assistant to join a growing international firm on a 10 month (minimum) maternity cover contract. Ideally early November start (or sooner) allowing for a 1 month handover.
As part of a 4 person team, duties will be varied but will include:
- Invoicing & credit notes
- Client account maintenance
- Credit control
- Banking transactions
- Financial reporting and control
The ideal person:
* Effective communicator, both written and verbal
* Computer literacy is key and especially need to be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook with recent Sage experience very desirable
* Display a good knowledge of VAT
* Able to work in a team and link up effectively with other departments
* Final level AAT, or above, would be desirable
* Organised and able to manage workloads.
The successful candidate will need to be happy jumping into an established, but changing role, as the team heads into yearend and deals with the challenges arising from the company’s growth and system/process improvement targets.
