A London-based investment firm is looking for an AI Engineer to help design and build an intelligent automation platform that transforms manual operational workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable systems that automate complex reporting and reconciliation processes using modern data engineering, automation, and AI techniques.
Working within a data-focused technology team, you’ll collaborate with operational stakeholders to turn complex real-world processes into robust, production-grade systems.
What You’ll Do:
* Design and build an Platform from scratch for reporting & intelligent automation
* Develop systems for data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation
* Implement automation with appropriate exception handling and oversight
* Integrate data across multiple systems and structured data sources
* Deliver a reliable, maintainable internal platform rather than one-off scripts
Experience required:
* Strong experience with Python and SQL
* Agentic AI experience with internal facing users
* Experience in front-end technology (FAST API, CSS, HTML)
* Experience building data pipelines, automation systems, or workflow platforms
* Experience integrating systems via APIs and data feeds
* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and production system development
Bonus: Experience with financial operations, workflow orchestration tools, or internal dashboards.

During the onboarding period this role is office-based, but thereafter hybrid, working at home Monday & Friday, and in-office Tuesday - Thursday.
