Job title: Weapons System Support Rig Systems Engineer Location: RAF Coningsby Salary: £33,044 What you’ll be doing: Provide technical support and maintenance for the Weapons System Support Rig (WSSR) primary and secondary customers Fault investigation to OEM technical training levels. Product familiarity such that technical issues with the product can be discussed with the necessary stakeholders to ensure technical issues are fully understood Develop a working relationship with the customer community such that working with that customer within their domain is a positive experience that continues to enhance the relationship Provision of investigation status updates to senior systems engineers and the WSSR manager Ensure faults are correctly prioritised and reported Manage the recovery action following a refrigerant leak, coordinating with the on base fire section and other stakeholders Identification of improvement opportunities for existing maintenance processes and procedures Production of maintenance and test processes and procedures Your skills and experiences: Essential: Understanding of Typhoon avionic/electrical and weapons systems Basic understanding of Electronic Warfare, RADAR and associated technologies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and be able to communicate technical information eloquently and with ease Desirable: Experience of operating Avionics System Integration/Weapon System Support Rigs.
