Develop your career with DWR and be part of something special! Our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) department is excited to offer the opportunity for an ECC Consultant to join our team. DWR is one of the largest specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centres in Europe, offering outstanding levels of clinical care in state-of-the-art facilities. You would join our Emergency and Critical Care team, which includes four other board-certified criticalists, 2 ECC interns, 5 ECC residents, and 7 ECC nurses. The DWR ECC team operates from the fully equipped, state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room within our newly opened hospital extension, launched in 2023. DWR has a vibrant programme of house officer educational rounds, including hospital-wide seminars, as well as weekly ECC board reviews and Journal Club sessions. Additionally, we are an educational partner of the University of Nottingham, offering opportunities to engage in undergraduate training. DWR has an excellent and diverse caseload supported by Rotating Interns, Residents, Certified Veterinary Nurses, Fellows, and Veterinary Specialists, covering the following disciplines: anatomical pathology, anaesthesia, cardiology, clinical pathology, dentistry, dermatology, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery. We are conveniently located in Cambridgeshire between Newmarket, the home of horse racing and Cambridge, with its world-renowned University and amenities. Qualifications The successful applicant must be ACVECC or ECVECC Board-Certified. Experienced candidates who are eligible to sit the qualifying examinations for these colleges will also be considered.
