Engineering Manager - REF: 2536
The Role
We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team. The successful candidate will lead high-value and high-complexity projects as their career progresses.
Responsibilities
* Client Relationship Management and Business Development – maintain and grow the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
* Lead a team of engineers, delivering projects, managing performance and developing competency.
* Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion. Lead the project engineering team for the development of design calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
Typical Projects
* Power Generation including CHP and Peaking Plants
* Renewables Energy such as biogas, biomass, solar and hydro
* Energy audits and design and implementation of energy saving initiatives
* Industrial utilities design including HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems
Location
The location for this role will be in our Hemel Hempstead office, however we will also consider applications for our Dublin, Cork, and Galway offices.
Requirements
* Engineering degree (Honours Bachelors Degree or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
* 10+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Problem Solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Full driving license and own transport required.
* Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
* Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
