Commercial Services Manager

Responsibilities
* Oversee the commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors, ensuring maximise returns on our budget and demonstrating value for money.
* Set up and manage pathfinder programmes that embed best practice and develop long‑term collaborative partnership arrangements with contractors and stakeholders.
* Champion effective governance and commercial assurance across Integrated Delivery Management teams and the wider Project Management community.
* Build excellent internal and external relationships and become an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations within a high‑performing team.
* Participate in incident response duties as required; complete training and contribute to community safety.
Qualifications – Essential
* A‑Level qualifications (or equivalent Level 3).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* Strong data and document management skills.
* Commercial acumen – ability to analyse business situations, take proportionate risks and deliver value for money.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including minute‑taking and report drafting.
* Willingness to shadow, undertake long‑term professional qualifications (e.g., NEC training, CIPS) and seek development.
* Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Desired Education / Professional Requirements
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
* Working towards status with a recognised professional body such as ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS or RICS.
* Formal training in contract management (e.g., NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
