Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Religious Educaton Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational All Boys Secondary Schools in Newcastle to start ASAP on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
Responsibilities
* The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allow all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
* Stretching and challenging the learning and progress all pupils.
* Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
* Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
* Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
* Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress.
* Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.

* The role is based in an inspirational Secondary School in Newcastle.
* The role is based at an All Boys School.
* The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team to provide an outstanding education for pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract
* Pay - Between £130-200 per day
* Hours - 08.30-16.00
* Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
* Start Date - ASAP
* Location - Newcastle
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements
* An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
* QTS and Secondary School Teaching experience within the UK.
* A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related field
* Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
* Strong subject knowledge
* Ability to teach up to KS5
* Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
* A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
* Experience of Teaching within the UK
* A genuine passion for Teaching
