With ambitious plans to expand our business, we are excited to be recruiting for a new leadership position to oversee all day-to-day operations across Henderson Technology.



A look into the role…



Working closely with the Retail Technology Operations Director, the Operations Manager will oversee day to day support, installation and project operations across Henderson Technology, including responsibility for all EDGEPOS deployment and support activities and ensuring the solutions provided by Henderson Technology to meet the evolving needs of our customer base.



Working as part of the senior leadership team, the Operations Manager will assist with the development and delivery of the Henderson Technology strategy and organisational goals

This role will be very well suited to a self-driven and organised individual, with a proven track record in leading a service delivery team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and service delivery metrics.



Working as Operations Manager you will:



* Lead operational strategy across the business and achieve desired outcomes through implementation of actionable plans.
* Lead and develop our installation, support and training teams, including hiring & training the best talent to deliver excellent customer service standards.
* Successfully manage all operational activities to ensure that installations, support and training service functions are performing effectively and efficiently.
* Play a key role in leading strategic/ change projects within Henderson Technology.
* Work to continually enhance processes, systems and operating procedures to increase efficiency and service delivery metrics.
* Represent Henderson Technology at the Group’s Business Transformation and Project Management meetings, deciding on key activities to deliver efficiency and improvement across the company and wider Group.
* Successfully manage operational budgets to ensure that financial performance meets target objectives.
* Ensure quality assurance measures are in place and that products meet/ exceed customer demands.
* Build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging positively to ensure that any challenges or opportunities are addressed to ensure team and customer satisfaction.
* Represent the company at key events meetings as required.




Skills for Success



Joining us as Operations Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:



* Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a service delivery team to a diverse range of end user clients.
* Strong process analysis, improvement and enhancement experience.
* Experience of supporting and delivering services across a geographically diverse estate.
* Demonstrable previous experience of successful project management.
* Experience of engaging successfully with stakeholders at all levels to deliver business objectives, including an understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and marketing.
* Strong written & oral communications skills.
* A high level of computer literacy and competence in using Microsoft applications.
* Full valid driving licence.


The Attributes you’ll need:



* Self-driven and organised.
* Team player with strong leadership capabilities.
* Excellent communicator, able to articulate problems / solutions effectively in a non-technical manner to stakeholders across the business.
* Curiosity & creativity- able to analyse and evaluate operational improvement opportunities and make evidence-based recommendations.


It is desirable if you have:



* Experience in EPOS solutions.
* Experience in an FMCG environment, ideally in convenience and forecourt retailing.
* Further or higher education in a relevant subject area.
* Experience in IT service delivery optimisation.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
