An exciting opportunity to join our team in LBG’s Energy, Commodities, Utilities and Industrials Credit team as a Senior Credit Officer, where you’ll play a leading role in driving revenue growth and maintaining an appropriate risk appetite to limit credit losses. You will also lead the strategic direction of the team and deliver its core objectives.
You’ll lead a team of Senior Credit Analysts and Credit Officers responsible for credit management of a portfolio of Industrials and overseeing corporate clients within the portfolio. Additionally, you will support your peers across Energy, Commodities, and Utilities. Your daily tasks may include:
1. Leading discussions with originators, relationship managers, product partners, and Senior Sanctioners to shape credit proposals, set risk appetite, and balance risk and reward.
2. Negotiating and evaluating complex financing proposals to meet client needs while protecting the bank’s interests.
3. Sanctioning credit proposals within your delegated lending authority.
4. Working in a high-profile, professional, and demanding environment that values people, boldness, trust, and diversity.
5. Managing direct reports and contributing to their career development, including coaching colleagues across CIB Corporate Credit.
6. Setting asset class or portfolio strategies and influencing the broader CIB Corporate Credit strategy.
7. Collaborating on projects to improve processes and workflows with key partners.
