Overview
John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) is expanding its Central IT Team. This role is suitable for someone who wants to build a successful career in IT and who can learn technical skills quickly. The position is an Apprenticeship with potential transition to a permanent role on completion.
Role: IT Support Technician
Contract: Whole Year, Part Time working 30 hours per week
Location: Burton Upon Trent, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service to schools across the Trust via the helpdesk.
* Provide on-site IT support for colleagues in the Central Team.
* Assist with building and deploying devices and maintain the asset register.
* Contribute to Trust IT projects and participate in work shadowing to gain practical experience.
* Communicate effectively by telephone and in writing to respond to IT problems.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Able to learn technical skills quickly and develop IT knowledge and skills during the Apprenticeship.
* Strong telephone manner and good writing skills.
* A passion for excellence and alignment with the Trust’s vision and safeguarding commitments.
* Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks and safeguarding processes as part of duty of care.
Salary and Progression
* Salary during Apprenticeship: National Apprenticeship Wage (£7.55 per hour).
* Upon qualification: Grade 4 (SCP 5-6) £25,583 to £25,989 per annum pro rata.
* Actual salary during apprenticeship: £20,743 to £21,072 per annum.
