Privately owned and headquartered in Aberdeen, our client operates globally across the UK, Middle East, Far East and Europe. The group has built an outstanding reputation in the supply of high-quality equipment to the energy sector.
Following the planned retirement of the long-standing Finance Director, our client is now seeking a senior finance leader to support the CEO and Regional Director as they drive forward their next phase of growth and innovation.
The role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive and Regional Director, the Finance Director will be responsible for the financial leadership of the group. The remit includes reporting, compliance, performance management, cashflow, tax, and audit, as well as oversight of the finance team.
This is a highly visible role, sitting within the senior leadership team, where you’ll contribute with key decision-making while supporting the day-to-day needs of the operation. Over time, you’ll also have the opportunity to review and refine existing processes, systems, and structures, to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong financial leadership experience. Position suits an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller – previous Finance Director experience is not required.
You will be calm under pressure and comfortable operating within an owner-managed environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build cross-functional relationships and explain financial issues clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Prior international or multi-entity experience would be helpful.
