Job Description
Cooklaw Solicitors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, efficient, and detail‑driven Conveyancer to join our expanding Residential Conveyancing Team.
We are looking for a confident professional with a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end residential conveyancing process, able to manage their own caseload across a full spectrum of matters including sales, purchases, re‑mortgages, transfers of equity, and related transactions. You will be comfortable working autonomously, yet collaboratively, within a fast‑paced and client‑focused team.
The firm are a forward‑thinking, modern legal practice that has experienced significant growth over the last 18 months—and that momentum is only increasing. Our success is rooted in our ethics, integrity, and core values, which guide every aspect of how we work and how we serve our clients. We are proud that every member of our firm embodies these values, and we are seeking a Conveyancer who will contribute to our continued progression and help drive the firm forward as a true part of our team.
In our culture, you control your caseload—not the Directors. We believe in empowering our people rather than overloading them. To ensure you can deliver exceptional service, we provide strong administrative support, well‑structured holiday cover, and a leadership team committed to your professional development and wellbeing.
If you are an organised, proactive Conveyancer who thrives in a supportive yet ambitious environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
* Handling sales, purchases, and other associated matters
* Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other parties
* Ensuring files are progressed efficiently
* Provide support to the conveyancing team
* Preparing and reviewing contracts, transfers, pre-contract enquiries and completion documentation
* Assisting the post completions team with Land Registry requisitions
About You:
* Previous experience running a caseload independently
* Team-focused, professional and client-driven approach
* Willingness to learn more within the Property sector
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work to deadlines with strong self-management skills
