Engineering Project Manager
Location: Warrington Salary: £33,000–£36,000 per annum + overtime + bonuses + 33 days paid holiday Contract: Permanent | Full-time | Occasional nights & weekends
About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver structural testing projects across the UK.
This role combines hands‑on engineering with project coordination—planning, managing resources, and ensuring client satisfaction. You’ll oversee load tests on structures (from small brackets to large bridges) and manage the installation of structural monitoring systems, including drilling, wiring, soldering, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, manage, and deliver structural testing projects from start to finish
* Coordinate logistics, resources, and schedules for UK‑wide projects
* Set up and operate test equipment and conduct load tests with clients present
* Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of results and observations
* Oversee installation of structural monitoring systems: drilling, bonding, wiring, soldering, testing
* Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, solving technical challenges
* Maintain and improve equipment and processes
* Lead and support team members to achieve project goals

* Enjoyment of practical, outdoor work—most of your time will be on‑site
* Ability to work independently and think on your feet
* Previous experience in engineering or construction projects
* Ability to work at height, in confined spaces, and carry out manual lifting (training provided)
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
* Excellent verbal and written English skills
* Flexibility for early starts, long days, and short periods away from home
* Eagerness to learn quickly and apply new skills
* Energetic and motivated attitude
* A full manual driving licence
Minimum Qualifications
* English Language GCSE (Grade 6 or above)
* Maths / Physics GCSE or Mechanical/Civil Engineering NVQ
* Beneficial: A relevant Engineering Degree (Civil or Structural preferred)
* Practical skills such as plumbing, carpentry, welding, or soldering are a bonus
