What is the role?
As an internal account manager you will work on our warm accounts, ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day function of the sales team and maximizing the profitability of the account portfolio. Your role blends handling inbound calls and emails with proactively supporting clients on queries, orders, and billing. Tenacity and drive will be essential to meet individual KPIs and hit team targets.
You will also support continuous growth of the account base, using product and client knowledge to identify customer needs and upsell against current orders. Building strong relationships across the accounts base and keeping contact updates on stock or services is vital, as is developing relationships with key vendor contacts to improve operational function and optimise opportunities.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
* Processing client orders and taking opportunity to upsell where possible
* Handling inbound calls and emails to provide product knowledge, consultative sales and support
* Mapping the team's warm accounts
Skills & experience
* Previous experience in sales or account management roles (experience in FMCG or IT/electronics industry desirable but not essential)
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Clear and personable phone & email communication
* Target driven
* Analytical and organised
* Motivation to continuously develop product knowledge
* Team player but also able to self‑motivate and work unsupervised
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
