Civil CAD Technician – Perth Employment Type: Full time, Permanent Package: Competitive Are you an experienced Civil CAD Technician ready to lead housing projects from design to construction? Pettigrew Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run housebuilder with a strong reputation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Civil CAD Technician to join their close-knit technical team. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering an excellent balance between technical design work and hands-on site involvement. You will play a key part in delivering residential infrastructure projects from early design through to construction and completion. The Role: Working closely with engineers, site teams and external consultants, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the design and detailing of residential infrastructure works. Preparing, updating and maintaining drawings and technical information using Civil 3D. Supporting submissions to adopting authorities as required. Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and designers to resolve technical and construction-related issues. Regular site attendance to: Monitor infrastructure works during construction. Measure, record and report on completed works. Assist with setting out and quality control checks. The Candidate: To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: An HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience on the design side of residential infrastructure projects. Some site-based experience monitoring and measuring infrastructure works. Strong CAD skills, particularly Civil 3D. A good working knowledge of UK standards and best practice, including Scottish Water, utilities and NRDG legislation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A full UK driving licence. What’s on Offer: A competitive salary, dependent on experience.
