About the Role
We’re opening a brand-new flagship cinema in Bishop Auckland in March 2026 and we’re looking for a confident, hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to help set the standard from day one.
This is a working supervisor role — you’ll be hands-on cleaning alongside the team, while also organising daily priorities, ensuring standards are consistently met, and supporting training and routines so the site always feels “brand new”.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the housekeeping routine across the cinema: toilets, foyer, auditoriums and public areas
* Allocate tasks, manage priorities and ensure cleaning is completed to a high standard
* Carry out daily cleaning alongside the team (this is not a desk role)
* Spot-check presentation and detail — ensuring the cinema is guest-ready every day
* Replenish supplies and report low stock/maintenance issues to the Duty Manager/Management team
* Support training and coaching of housekeepers, especially new starters
* Ensure safe working practices and correct use of equipment/materials
What We’re Looking For
* Previous cleaning experience (cinema, hospitality, retail, leisure or similar)
* Supervisory/lead experience is desirable (or you’re ready to step up)
* Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
* Reliable, organised and confident prioritising tasks
* Positive, supportive leadership style — you set the tone for the team
* Comfortable working early mornings and being hands-on
Availability (Important)
This is a rota-based role and early starts are essential
Shifts may start from 5:30am
We operate 7 days per week, so flexibility to work a mix of days is required
