Procurement & Logistics Lead – Turks and Caicos Islands Location: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands Relocation: Open to expatriate candidates Are you a procurement professional with strong experience in the construction industry ? Do you enjoy taking ownership of your department and driving efficiency across procurement, logistics, and shipping functions? We’re representing a well-established construction business in the Caribbean that is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Lead to oversee materials purchasing, shipping coordination, and logistics planning for their ongoing projects. This is a key leadership role with the potential for long-term progression within a growing organisation. The Role You’ll take charge of the entire procurement and logistics process — from sourcing materials to managing suppliers and ensuring timely delivery to site. The role combines strategic buying with hands-on coordination of freight, shipping, and materials tracking. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the procurement of construction materials from local and international suppliers. Overseeing shipping, customs clearance, and delivery logistics to ensure timely arrival of goods. Tracking materials from order through to site delivery and installation. Liaising with project teams to interpret construction drawings and ensure correct material specification. Maintaining and updating detailed procurement and logistics spreadsheets. Building and maintaining supplier relationships to achieve best value and reliability. Introducing new systems or processes to improve efficiency and reduce delays. Managing the department’s day-to-day operations and mentoring support staff as required. About You We’re looking for someone confident, organised, and commercially minded, with the ability to work independently and own this function. Essential skills and experience: Strong procurement or buying background within the construction industry. Excellent computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Proven experience following materials from purchase through to final delivery. A proactive approach to improving systems, suppliers, and communication. Desirable: Experience in logistics or shipping coordination (training can be provided). Previous work experience in remote or island environments. Preference for candidates from South Africa, following previous successful placements. Single status preferred due to accommodation arrangements.
