The role in a nutshell
We're looking for a people‑focused and engaging Talent Partner to join our People & Culture team. Reporting into the Director of People & Culture, this role works closely with our People Operations and People Experience teams to deliver a seamless, rewarding experience for our colleagues one that empowers and inspires our people to make a positive impact on themselves, our clients, and the planet
This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety, loves building relationships, and is passionate about talent and development. You'll have real ownership across recruitment and learning initiatives, helping to champion a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
Talent Acquisition
* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from vacancy approval through to onboarding, promoting best practice processes
* Act as the main point of contact for hiring managers and Senior Leadership Team on Approval To Recruit.
* Proactively source candidates directly and support the development of future talent pipelines.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with external recruitment agencies.
Onboarding
* Work closely with the People Operations team to support a smooth and effective onboarding experience for new starters.
* The creation and delivery of new manager inductions.
Learning & Development
* Support the development and delivery of Learning & Development initiatives aligned to the People Strategy.
* Partner with team managers and Q&T Managers to identify current and future skills needs.
* Research and propose learning courses that support business goals, with a focus on blended learning solutions.
* Coordinate and manage external learning partners and programmes
* Promote training opportunities across the business and encourage engagement.
* Arrange internal delivery of cross departmental technical training where appropriate.
* Assist People Partners and managers with talent development and retention activity.
* Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of L&D initiatives.
* Maintain accurate L&D data and records using Bob.
Apprenticeships
* Support the management of the apprenticeship levy, including internal training and new apprenticeship opportunities.
Reporting & People Support
* Produce monthly reports on recruitment KPIs, internal mobility, and learning activity.
* Support wider People & Culture projects as required.
* Monitor and manage the People Team inbox, responding to queries in a timely and supportive way.
* Carry out other duties appropriate to the role and level.
Requirements
Proven experience in a Talent, or People‑focused role, ideally with hands‑on exposure to both recruitment and/or learning & development. You'll be comfortable guiding hiring managers, shaping selection processes, and supporting colleague growth.
A confident relationship‑builder who enjoys partnering with managers and stakeholders across the business. You can influence, challenge thoughtfully, and build trust quickly.
Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and a varied workload without losing momentum or attention to detail.
Genuinely passionate about people, learning, and development you're motivated by helping others succeed and creating experiences that bring out the best in colleagues.
Curious and creative, always looking for better ways of doing things, and keen to grow your skills across a broad talent remit, from attraction and onboarding through to learning, progression, and capability building.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, where you can contribute ideas, take ownership, and help shape initiatives that support our culture and people experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft clear messaging, facilitate conversations, and represent People & Culture in a warm, credible way.
Benefits
Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + your birthday off, increasing to 30 days on length of service
Hybrid working - you must be able to commute to our Fulwood office 2 days p/week
