As part of the quality team, the primary roles will involve working directly with customers.
Achieve finished product approval by generating and compiling automotive PPAP / ISIR documentation and reviews to AIAG standard and customer‑specific requirements.
Achieve finished product approval by generating and compiling FAI reports to customer‑specific specifications.
Manage customer concerns for designated customers by carrying out problem analysis/complaint investigation to Automotive 8D, CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventative Action) investigation and closeout. Solid experience within a similar customer‑facing role in the automotive industry, with a thorough working knowledge of the automotive industry requirements APQP, PPAP/ISIR TS16949.
Provide Quality Assurance support for APQP and NPI activities including review of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, etc.
Track and report on KPI figures, identify trends, and execute action plans to address data trends.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Assist the quality manager and team in other quality‑related activities as required.
Perform internal process audits to improve efficiency and product reliability.
The successful candidate will be a self‑driven, decisive, forward‑planning member of the quality team, able to work independently.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Solid experience within a similar customer‑facing role ideally within the automotive industry, with a thorough working knowledge of APQP, PPAP/ISIR TS16949.
* Attention to detail and a determination to insist on quality standards that meet customer requirements.
* Experience developing and working with AIAG tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC.
* Good communication and negotiation skills with customers, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a senior‑level audience.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
The following experience would be an advantage
* Experience of working in a similar quality role within the electronics industry.
* Working knowledge of Q‑Pulse and Microsoft AX systems.
* Experience providing cover for SQA, Goods Inward, Metrology, CMM, Customer concerns.
* Experience performing internal auditing to TS16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, Q1 and customer‑specific requirement functions.
* Proven experience in implementing Six Sigma, Lean techniques and continuous improvement.
* Higher education qualification in engineering in either manufacturing or electronics with proven experience.
