COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME PRODUCER

From free after-school clubs to adult singing groups and wellbeing projects, you’ll help bring the joy of music to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Job Title: Community Engagement Programme Producer
Working Hours:28 hours per week, including regular evenings and weekends when required. (Please note that Fèis Roisoperates a 4-day week and, as such, considers 28 hours to be full-time. There is a Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) policy.)
Location:Robertson House, Dingwall(Please note that Fèis Rois has flexible and hybrid working policies, so not all hours will need to be worked from Robertson House)
Salary:£27,500 – £32,500
Holidays: 28 days per year, inclusive of public holidays
Pension:You will be auto enrolled into an optional pension scheme. You will contribute 5% of your salary and Fèis Rois will contribute 5%.
Term:This is a core post with Fèis Rois(Funding is currently in place to 31stMarch 2028 but there is an aspiration for this role to continue beyond this period and new funds will be sought.)
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of the post is to coordinate, develop and deliver a year-round programme of activities for people of all ages in Ross & Cromarty. This currently includes:
* Fèis Club: a free after-school music-making club held every week in the communities of Tain, Alness, Invergordon and Ullapool.
* 21 classes each week in accordion, clarsach, fiddle, guitar and group music making. These classes are offered at beginner, improver and intermediate level and take place in Dingwall.
* Voices in Bloom: a weekly ‘singing for health’ group for adults held in Alness.
* Bespoke music-making opportunities for care experienced young people and for adults experiencing mental health problems.
* Monthly weekend workshops, including for The Kiltearn Fiddlers and Cluich Rois performance groups, and a monthly Fèis Club for care experienced young people.
* The Lullaby Project: a 12-week project held annually and open to parents and care givers of babies and children age 0 to 3.
* Supporting community adult-learner band, Fèis the Music.
* Identifying and arranging performance opportunities for musicians of all ages participating in Fèis Rois programmes.
The post holder is also responsible for the Fèis Rois instrument library.
