About the role:
We are currently looking to recruit a permanent member of staff within our Energy Gas Turbines division. The Stock Controller will control and maintain stock levels within the group, in co-ordination with the Supply chain team.
Primary responsibilities
• Develop the inventory management system D365
• Manage and control stock counts and reports.
• Conduct daily/ weekly / monthly stock takes
• Continual align stock counts with system and report to finance
• Minimise overstocks and report to supply chain
• Removal of obsolete / redundant products to maximise capacity
• Work with Warehouse manager to handle efficient storage
• Ensure D365 system is up to date and stock is labelled properly.
• Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
• Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
• Analyses daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
• Manages schedules of deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
• Communicates with operations team to meet business goals
• Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
• Work to reduce stock levels in association with procurement team
• Monitors demand and analyses data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
• Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge and experience of inter-department working efficiencies
• Experience of stock control in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
