Cleaner – House of Social Food Hall, Manchester
Rate: £12.21 plus holiday pay uplift, equivalent to £13.68 per hour
Hours Per Week: Zero hour contract
Working Patterns: 5am - 8am, 6 days per week (excluding Tuesdays)
House of Social Food Hall is Manchester’s newest and most exciting food hall. A collection of five independent kitchens, serving food and drink to suit every taste and time. We’re looking for an accomplished Cleaner to provide on-site cleaning leadership to deliver to our premium standards.
Responsibilities
* Carry out daily cleaning of the food hall, including floors, seating areas, toilets, and communal spaces.
* Regularly sanitise high-contact surfaces, tables, doors, and service counters.
* Clean and maintain back-of-house areas, including staff facilities, storage areas, and prep rooms.
* Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks, such as floor scrubbing, high-level dusting, and cleaning of kitchen counters.
* Remove rubbish and recycling to designated collection points, ensuring compliance with waste management procedures.
* Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, and sanitiser stations.
* Immediately report maintenance issues, hazards, or any health and safety concerns to the duty manager.
* Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in line with COSHH regulations.
* Record cleaning tasks on provided checklists and digital systems as required.
Qualifications
* Experienced in cleaning busy hospitality venues (cafés, restaurants, residential or public spaces preferred).
* Familiar with health and safety and COSHH practices. Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
