We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Tutor to join our team at Norton College in Tewkesbury. You will oversee and deliver Motor Maintenance or Construction Qualifications to our students and support our pupils in achieving these qualifications, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained within the workspace.
The post holder will ensure the maintenance area is set up and managed effectively, keeping all relevant safety documentation (COSHH) and risk assessments up to date, and ensuring all tools are stored and used safely in line with health and safety measures.
You will support our students by developing and maintaining positive relationships across the College, which serves students with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including Autism, enabling access and achievement across academic, vocational, and recreational activities.
Working closely with the Head of Pastoral Support, you will create and facilitate engaging learning experiences throughout the College day and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to monitor student progress in their qualifications.
As a Motor Maintenance/Construction Tutor, you may be asked to undertake additional duties or be deployed as requested by the Head of School or Pastoral Support Lead.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 3 Construction/Maintenance or higher, or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanic qualification
* Proven experience in Carpentry, Brick Laying, Motor Mechanics, or Motor Technician skills
* Multi-skilled abilities are highly desirable
