Salary: £40,182 – £42,060 per annum
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (36 Hours per week)

About the Role

In this role you will be conducting financial assessments and annual reviews for vulnerable residents in receipt of chargeable care services in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You will be working in line with the teams current processes to ensure accurate charging across all social care services. Provide clear, supportive advice to clients, families, and care providers on financial assessments, this includes advising and handling complaints, appeals, and complex cases with professionalism and empathy. Manage Deferred Payment Agreements in accordance with Council policy, and offer guidance on welfare benefit entitlements to support informed decision-making. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve service delivery and play an active role in supporting the team with service improvements and achieving positive outcomes for residents and the wider community.


About You

This well-qualified candidate brings extensive knowledge of adult social care legislation, including the Care Act 2004, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and DWP guidance. With practical experience supporting vulnerable adults and conducting financial assessments, they excel at conveying statutory requirements. Their approach centres on outcome-based planning and empowering individuals through advocacy and support for independent living.
They have successfully contributed to organisational change, streamlined administrative systems. The successful candidate will be skilled in prioritisation and decision-making with attention to detail in financial administration. Their ability to foster partnerships across health, education, and social care, combined with strong communication skills, makes them an asset in delivering high-quality services for residents.
