Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Swim Instructor to join our team. At The Swimfarm we teach in 'flow pools' where a current is generated in warm, one metre deep tanks designed for teaching our own progressive teaching methodology. Training will be given for the successful candidate. We are looking for a teacher who is confident with young children and looking to enhance their teaching skills in 1:1 or 2:1 lessons.
The hours available are on currently Tuesday from 3-7pm (potentially 2-8pm)
Responsibilities
* Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring a tailored approach to meet individual needs.
* Develop lesson plans that incorporate water safety, stroke techniques, and personal fitness goals.
* Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
* Maintain a safe and engaging environment during lessons, adhering to all safety protocols.
* Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, concerns, and recommendations for further development.
* Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance teaching methods and stay updated on best practices in swim instruction.
Qualifications
* ASA/STA Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
* Good understanding of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
* Reliable and professional.
* Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is an advantage but not mandatory.
* A genuine passion for swimming and helping others improve their skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
