We operate a shift system in some departments, with shift allowances paid during back and night shifts, increasing the standard hourly rate by time +1/6 and time +1/3. Overtime opportunities are available during busy periods.
Main Duties
The role involves supporting all Quality Assurance activities, including maintaining the Balmoral Comtec Integrated Management System (IMS). The job holder will investigate significant issues, ensure lessons are learned, and incorporate best practices through internal audits.
Effective communication and collaboration across all levels, including clients and supply chain, are essential. The candidate should proactively contribute to continuous improvement by advising on QHSE systems and reporting issues to management.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and improve IMS and related processes.
* Inspect manufactured and procured products for conformance to requirements.
* Conduct line QC inspections and provide feedback to production teams.
* Promote accurate capture of non-conformances and ensure proper segregation and remediation.
* Report and track non-conformances, ensuring traceability and compliance with client requirements.
* Maintain inspection records, calibration of measurement devices, and equipment segregation.
* Provide training and support on inspection activities.
Qualifications
Required: Minimum of 3 years in a quality role as a QC Inspector, with at least 1 year in manufacturing.
Desirable: IRCA Internal Auditor, visual welding inspection qualification (e.g., CSWIP 3.0), experience with Faro Arm and Aberlink software, and a Level 3 Engineering qualification.
Experience
Required: 3+ years in quality, knowledge of industry standards (e.g., BS EN 10204), and understanding of NDT/NDE principles.
Desirable: Root cause analysis skills, familiarity with ISO9001 or similar management systems.
Skills/Training
Required: Ability to read manufacturing drawings, proficient in Microsoft Office, effective communication, organized, detail-oriented, and able to build relationships.
Desirable: Data handling skills, presentation skills, enthusiasm for development and mentoring, product knowledge.
