Please note: Occasional travel between sites will be required, driving would be the easiest mode of travel.
Health, Safety and Compliance Coordinator responsibilities
* Develop and implement HS policies and procedures to meet legal requirements and industry best practices.
* Educate staff on safety protocols and best practices.
* Responsible for general administration, facilities coordination and GDPR guidance
* Oversee the planned and responsive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and site infrastructure.
* Supervise and coordinate external contractors for maintenance, cleaning, security, and other services.
* Manage soft services like cleaning and waste, and hard services like utilities and security systems.
* Ensure regular maintenance and proper functioning of systems like fire alarms, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and security cameras.
Desirable:
* Relevant Health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH) and/or experience in facilities management or compliance.
* Familiarity with standards like ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and knowledge of relevant legislation. (Not essential)
* Strong organisational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills are essential.
* The ability to proactively identify needs, implement solutions and improve H&S culture.
