Role: Aerospace / Defence Sector Programme Manager

We are looking for Programme Managers to strengthen our Programmes function and support delivery across a range of product teams.

The position involves great responsibility and the ability to plan, lead, and structure challenging programmes across technical disciplines.
The Client
This role is with a British engineering firm that has a global impact, delivering advanced aerospace technology. We design and deliver complex mechanical projects that support both civil and military aviation, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance across every programme.
You
To be successful in this role, you should have the following attributes:
* Proven project or programme management experience.
* Solid understanding of engineering disciplines (design, test, manufacturing).
* Knowledge of new product introduction (NPI).
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder management experience.
* Ability to organise and deliver complex manufacturing programmes, with strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
The Role
Key responsibilities are:
* Full responsibility for a portfolio of projects across a range of product teams
* Supporting clients in defining project objectives and proposals.
* Allocating tasks and managing programme schedules.
* Forecasting and prioritising deliveries for production.
* Preparing statements of work, coordinating resource requirements and cost data.
* Providing updates to customers and coordinating internal teams.
* Offering technical guidance and oversight with engineering and manufacturing teams, customers, and suppliers.
