Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Nottingham | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity
Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education, child development, or mental health?
Teaching Personnel is working with a number of Nottingham-based primary schools who are eager to welcome dedicated and enthusiastic psychology graduates into Teaching Assistant roles.
This is an ideal opportunity for graduates who are:
Considering a career in education, educational psychology, or child psychology
Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
Looking to gain classroom-based experience ahead of further study or teacher training
Role Overview:
Supporting students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
Working 1:1 or in small groups to boost academic engagement and emotional development
Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson delivery
Building strong relationships to make a lasting, positive impact
Key Requirements:
A degree in Psychology (or related subject)
A genuine interest in education and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and patient approach
