Project Overview
Our client is seeking a
Japanese-speaking Agile Coach
to support a critical engagement with a large Pharmaceutical company. The objective of the project is to
introduce, educate, coach, and guide teams
to establish long-lasting Agile ways of working, enhancing collaboration, self-organization, and overall business responsiveness.
The coach will work closely with
internal consulting teams
including Scrum Masters and Partners. Each team being coached consists of 7–8 members from the brand organization. This role is
hands-on
, combining
team coaching, Agile transformation guidance, and mentorship
, and is aimed at fostering a sustainable Agile culture across multiple teams.
Language Requirements:
Fluent in Japanese and English (oral and written; must be able to produce presentations and training materials in both languages)
Scope of Work:
Team Coaching & Agile Transformation
* Guide teams in Agile principles, practices, and mindsets, fostering a
collaborative and self-organizing culture
.
* Support the broader
Agile transformation initiative
, including process improvement, metrics tracking, and adoption of best practices.
Facilitation & Training
* Lead key Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, planning, reviews) to ensure
effective collaboration and communication
.
* Deliver
training sessions
for teams, stakeholders, and internal trainers on Agile methods, tools, and organizational adoption.
Continuous Improvement & Metrics
* Identify process inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and
track Agile metrics
to enhance team performance.
* Mentor
Agile Champions
and provide ongoing guidance to support internal leadership development.
Stakeholder Engagement & Impediment Removal
* Align team goals with business objectives and
manage expectations
with stakeholders.
* Support teams in
identifying and resolving blockers
to maintain delivery momentum.
Promote Adoption & Internal Capability Building
* Enable additional teams to adopt Agile ways of working and
expand internal capabilities
through "Train the Trainers" programs.
* Foster a
community of practice
among in-house coaches, offering continuous development opportunities.
Key Requirements / Ideal Profile
* Proven experience in
Agile coaching or Agile transformation
initiatives.
* Japanese speaker
(fluent) with strong English communication skills.
* Experience working in
large multinational corporations (MNCs)
, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences.
* Available to work
EU time zone hours
.
* Comfortable operating in a
hands-on coaching capacity
, with exposure to both team-level coaching and organizational-level transformation.
