Overview
Exciting opportunity to work as a band 6 practitioner in the Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) Service covering Ealing, Hounslow, and Hammersmith & Fulham, supporting adults with emotional instability and relationship difficulties through specialist Tier 3 services.
Key Responsibilities
The role focuses on clinical work and collaborative service development. You will support the team in developing interfaces with multiple services, work with the MINT teams, and provide a consultative role in working with clients with CEN. Responsibilities include:
* Screening and assessing referrals for CEN, liaising with referrers, and delivering comprehensive assessments and formulations.
* Managing a caseload of clients within CEN and providing consultative input to other services.
* Contributing to effective, compassionate service development, shaping the service according to population‑based needs.
* Planning and delivering service objectives, managing change projects, and ensuring client focus, consistency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
* Working closely with the Band 7 Senior Practitioner and the Team Manager to ensure efficient running of the clinical team.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have significant experience working with adults with mental health needs in the community. Desirable qualifications include:
* Experience with complex emotional needs and training in SCM, DBT, or MBT.
* Background in social work, nursing, occupational therapy, or related mental health disciplines.
* Strong clinical practice, ability to develop interfaces with multiple services, and consultative skills.
