About the Role
You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, working on large-scale projects including commercial developments, urban extensions, and new settlements. The role will involve promoting sites through the Local Plan process, undertaking strategic research, and engaging with key stakeholders.
As a Senior or Principal Planner, you will also play a role in developing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage planning projects and coordinate inputs from team members.
* Promote sites through the Local Plan process, including stakeholder engagement and preparation of professional documents (representations, hearing statements, advocacy reports).
* Conduct planning appraisals and research to assess development potential and strategic opportunities.
* Provide accurate, concise, and reasoned planning advice both verbally and in writing.
* Support and deliver client presentations and public consultations as part of multidisciplinary teams.
* Prepare fee proposals and assist in tender submissions.
* Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives, including social media and presentation materials.

About You
* Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority.
* Degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g. Town or Urban Planning, Built Environment).
* Chartered Membership (MRTPI) or working towards it.
* Demonstrable experience in Local Plan and strategic policy work.
* Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Confident leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
* Proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential.
