Role: Warehouse Assistant/Administrator
Salary: £26,000 p/yr
Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 Mon - Fri
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Contract: Permanent
Our client, a manufacturing company based in Birchwood, are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant/Administrator to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor would be assisting with general warehousing duties including Picking, Packing, using a Fort Lift Truck (Counterbalance) and Logistics Administration.

Responsibilities
The Warehouse Assistant/Administrator, your duties will be:
* Assisting with general warehousing duties including Picking, Packing, using a Fort Lift Truck (Counterbalance)
* Organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of products to customers in order to satisfy and meet customer demand.
* Responsible for all goods in and out ensuring things are recorded correctly and traceable.
* Liaise with carriers chasing most cost-effective quotes for shipping both to UK mainland and European countries ensuring all documentation is correct.
* Interact with customs authorities to address any issues/questions arising during the clearing of customs.
* Coordinating with the sales and production departments as well as freight companies to ensure goods are DIFOT (dispatched in full on time).
* Advise relevant colleagues of any shipments that are on hold and of any warehouse or transport issues.
* Some heavy lifting required while picking up to 25kg.
* Must have a positive, customer focused attitude in line with the company's values and a willingness to encourage change and continuous improvement.
* Any other warehousing or administration duties required by the senior leaders.
Skills and Experience
The Warehouse Assistant/Administrator will have the following skills and experience:
* Minimum of 3 years warehousing experience
* Working knowledge and understanding of ERP applications such as Oracle
* Must have a valid RTITB accredited Counterbalance Forklift driver licence and experience.
* Confident to communicate with external parties and hauliers.
* Flexible and adaptable
* Good time management and prioritisation skills
* Dynamic and self-motivated with strong communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
* A team player with enthusiasm for your work and dedicated to high standards of quality.
* Confident in use of Microsoft Office packages in particular excel and outlook.
