At Lyons Davidson and File Dynamics our vision is to become the most people centered employer in the legal industry and we are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join the team as a key player in achieving this vision.
Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of a proactive, digital and forward thinking L&D service that meets the needs of the business, whilst staying relevant to the mixed demographics of our people.

You will be part of a wider People Services team made up of Talent Acquisition and Resourcing, People Operations, Employee Relations and Business Partnering and will work in a large (c.500 employees) law firm based in Bristol. This is a part time vacancy, 21 hours per week Monday - Friday.
Key responsibilities
* Working with Senior Managers and the People Business Partners to understand the current and future L&D needs of the business and our people.
* Creation of a digital L&D offering that allows our people to access relevant information and materials in an accessible and engaging format.
* Project management of internal projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget, with support of the rest of the team.
* Overseeing the apprenticeship programme, early careers advice and training budgets for the divisions.
* Delivering the L&D elements of the firms Information Security plan.
* Managing the L&D team (L&D Advisor and L&D Assistant) and any external suppliers ensuring a smooth and timely delivery of the service.
* Building strong relationships with senior managers and the wider People Services team as well as leading or contributing to people vision projects.
Essential experience and skills
* Experience of working in an L&D or an employee engagement role
* Ability to build relationships by understanding the needs and drivers of others
* Detailed understanding of the employee life cycle and employee experience
* Must be resourceful and proactive
* Microsoft Office and related tools
