About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our publishing team as a Publishing Assistant. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a vibrant and innovative team at Springer Nature, working on our respected Medicine and Biomedicine open access journal portfolios. You would join one of the world’s leading scientific and medical publishers, with staff based globally.

Role Responsibilities
* Maintain scholarly journals: prepare agreements, update systems, request payments, and maintain records.
* Prepare materials for reports, conferences, and meetings, including PowerPoint presentations, and support team meetings.
* Request annual journal reports and monitor schedules.
* Handle inquiries from internal teams and external partners, especially editors and authors.
* Manage editorial and publishing projects, including editor recruitment, journal metrics reporting, ethics research, and tracking invitations.
* Develop strong relationships with colleagues across departments to coordinate production, editorial, marketing, and other deadlines.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in a fast-paced office environment preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with database management experience.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritize and work independently in a high-volume environment.
* Interest in scholarly publishing and a science background are welcome.
* Proofreading skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive problem-solving and customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
