Details

* Location: Drayton, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
* Salary:ÂŁ13.16 per hour (ÂŁ25,662 per annum) plus benefits
* Hours: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm (Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis). Shifts may vary due to the needs of the people we support
* Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent
* Driving Requirement: Manual UK licence required
* Visa Sponsorships: Not Available

What You’ll Need

* Strong English communication skills (spoken & written)
* Previous experience in a care/support setting
* A valid manual UK driving licence
* The legal right to live and work in the UK


What You’ll Be Doing

* Supporting daily routines– from morning support to bedtime
* Planning fun, person-centred activities that boost wellbeing
* Contributing to tailored support plans
* Building therapeutic relationships that truly make a difference
* Keeping accurate support notes– every detail matters


Who You’ll Be Supporting

Big news — we’re expanding! Join us in our new home where you’ll support an individual. You won’t be alone — you’ll be part of a passionate, caring team.

John You’ll be supporting John, a vibrant individual with complex needs who’s moving into a specially adapted home. John loves music (especially classical), Disney films, colouring, and outdoor fun like trampolining and swings. He also enjoys story time and trips to cafés and going on drives. His dad is a big part of his life, so family involvement is key.

Please note, the real name has been changed to protect the individuals identity confidentiality.

You’ll be making a real impact with people who have:

* Learning disabilities, including using communication tools like Makaton or PECs
* Working with individuals with autism and/or visual impairments
* Experience with behaviour that is highly challenged and applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies


Additional Information

⚠️ Please Note: From October to about the end of the year, you’ll need to travel to Birmingham (B38 area) during the transition before moving to Drayton, Abingdon. We will pay towards travel during this transition period.
