Strategy & Investment Analyst (FTC)

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS business with a strong international footprint and an established customer base across multiple markets.
The business is at a key stage in its growth, with a strong product portfolio and a wide range of opportunities in front of it. The challenge now is deciding where to invest time, resource and capital to drive the most value.
This role has been created to support that.
The role
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, helping assess and prioritise a pipeline of strategic initiatives across the business.
There is no shortage of ideas - from new product development and market expansion through to optimisation of existing offerings. What’s missing is the time and structure to properly evaluate them.
Your role is to take these opportunities and answer:
* Is this worth doing?
* How attractive is this compared to other options?
* What would it take to deliver?
You’ll bring together market insight, competitor analysis and commercial thinking to build clear, evidence-based recommendations that support investment decisions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll operate across a range of strategic initiatives, including:
* Assessing market opportunities, including size, growth and dynamics
* Analysing competitor landscapes and positioning
* Evaluating product and segment opportunities across the portfolio
* Building business cases to support investment decisions
* Developing high-level financial models and scenario analysis
* Working closely with Product, Finance and Exec stakeholders to refine recommendations
* Prioritising initiatives based on impact, feasibility and strategic fit
The environment is fast-paced and varied, with multiple initiatives running in parallel - so being comfortable switching between different problems is important.
What they’re looking for
* Background in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, M&A, or a similar analytical role
* Experience supporting business cases, investment decisions or due diligence work
* Strong market analysis and commercial thinking skills
* Ability to take ambiguous problems and structure them clearly
* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and presenting recommendations
This role will suit someone who enjoys working on strategic problems, but prefers being hands-on in the analysis rather than leading teams or owning delivery.
