You will be joining a privately-owned civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in South Yorkshire with a strong reputation for delivering projects across the UK. This multi-accredited and multi-sector contractor works in partnership with some of the industry’s leading contractors and is renowned for theirmitment to quality, safety and innovation.
As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their expanding team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Chesterfield office (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00) with hybrid and flexible working options.
Your new roleAs Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in securing major projects and drivingmercial success.
You will:
1. Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare robust submissions
2. Produce accurate take-offs and BOQs using industry software
3. Obtain and assesspetitive subcontractor and supplier quotations
4. Price bills analytically from first principles and evaluate risks and opportunities
5. Lead tender adjudications and attend client meetings pre- and post-tender
6. Maintain cost databases and provide accurate cost reports to senior management
7. Mentor trainee estimators and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will bring:
8. Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating within civil engineering and/or groundworks
9. Strongmercial and analytical acumen with ability to analyse data
10. Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC3/4 contracts
11. Experience of Conquest estimating packages
12. Full UK driving licence.
