The IT Manager will be fully responsible for leading and managing all IT activities within the company. The role involves ensuring the continuous improvement of IT processes, systems, and services to meet the company’s evolving needs. This position requires oversight of all IT-related functions, including system maintenance, resource allocation, and ensuring IT operations align with business objectives. Responsibilities and Duties Live the CNX Values. Maintain high standards of ethics and support the company in its pioneering approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Responsible for the IT budget and procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and evaluating the return on investment of various IT initiatives Establish and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and managing service agreements to ensure they meet the company’s needs and SLAs Lead and ensure the organization's cybersecurity, encompassing the management of cyber risks, CyberEssentials certification process and oversight of incident response strategies. Resolve user & facility issues that require in-person fixes. Remotely assist in laptop-related concerns Identify areas where our team need training on computer literacy, security etc and deliver training either 1:1 or in groups Sets up and configures new computer equipment for new starters and liaise with Managed Service Partner to ensure smooth onboarding Ensure offboarding process is done professionally and equipment is collected from any leavers and data is secured Performs routine inspection of equipment Works with MSP to communicate any updates to computer software and operating systems with our team Work with our facilities team to ensure optimal meeting room connectivity and telephony and assist with telephony management tasks Documenting processes and procedures and owning our IT business continuity plan Essential Great communication skills, both written and verbal Friendly and approachable with a 'can-do' attitude Thoughtful in helping us understand how we can continue to improve our processes and being proactive in leading those discussions In-office attendance is expected to be a minimum of four days per week Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Prior experience in desktop support technician or similar role preferred Proficient in MS Office and IT-related applications Effective time-management skills Detail-oriented Company benefits include: 27 days holiday BH A CNX-tra day to celebrate a life event Private medical and dental insurance plus inclusion in Income Protection and Life Assurance Insurance schemes Hybrid work environment Volunteering opportunities Monthly wellbeing allowance Home setup allowance Summer hours June - August - we finish at 1pm every Friday!
