Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant/Lunchtime Supervisor Combined Role
Long Buckby Junior School is looking to recruit a Level 1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs who will also perform the role of Lunchtime Supervisor. The role is fixed term with an unspecified end – likely to be until at least August 2029. You will need:
* A GCSE C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent;
* The ability to undertake further training.
The role will involve supporting children with a range of SEND needs on specific learning programmes under the direction of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator during the morning then working with our team of lunchtime supervisors.
The hours are:
* SEN Role 8.45 to 12.00.
The hours are 16 ¼ hours per week – 39 weeks of the year to include term time and training days for the SEND role; 6 ¼ hours per week for the lunchtime post 38 weeks of the year, term time only. The pay for the SEND role is £12.85 per hour; for the lunchtime post it is £12.65 per hour. Salaries will be paid pro-rata on Grade D for the SEND role and Grade C for the lunchtime role of the School Support Staff Pay Scales.
