Your new school is a small secondary school with academy status located in East Lancashire. The school is coeducational and caters for pupils aged 11-16. The school has established an excellent reputation in the localmunity and there is an extremely supportive senior leadership team throughout school with a clear vision towards achieving outstanding. Your new role
Joining a high achieving department, you will be responsible for teaching Design Technology to KS4. The role is tomence from January 2026 and will operate, full time, on a temporary basis for a minimum of one term. The post is then to be advertised, so there is scope for a permanent position should that be of interest. As the role is long term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons whilst differentiating in pupil ability. You will also be required to mark and assess all work ensuring that pupils are progressing in line with their target grades.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you hold a teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE and have experience of teaching Design Technology to KS4. You must be able tomence the role from January 2026 and be able tomit to the full duration of the assignment.
