Position Overview
We are recruiting a talented Production Supervisor to join our team at IPS Haverhill on a full-time and permanent basis.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Salary: £35,000 per annum, rising to £36,000 after successful probation.
Job Description
The role involves managing production lines and labor to meet volume and commercial targets while adhering to QA and safety standards. The supervisor will serve as a role model for best practices and support Line Leaders as needed.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to the site production teams.
* Implement the Operational Strategy.
* Ensure compliance with H&S and Quality standards.
* Coordinate with other departments to meet production plans.
* Manage labor resources effectively to meet customer demands.
* Communicate and achieve production efficiency targets, including labor and waste reduction.
* Participate in customer review meetings when required.
* Coordinate with internal departments like Warehousing and Transport.
* Utilize systems to promote Continuous Improvement.
Health & Safety
* Conduct risk assessments.
* Participate in health and safety meetings, providing feedback.
Management Responsibilities
* Coordinate with agency controllers and provide feedback on staffing.
* Perform duties within the scope of the role as required.
Colleague Management
* Conduct disciplinary and grievance procedures.
* Participate in performance reviews and KPI setting.
* Assist in training and development plans.
* Coach and mentor team members to foster an empowering culture.
Qualifications
* Experience in a production environment, preferably food or packing.
* Experience in warehousing operations.
* Experience with customer, BRC, and ISO audits.
* Experience with packaging machinery.
