The Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity: I need a Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer to join this expanding Sheffield team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, with scope for genuine technical development and career progression. This role allows for exposure to the whole spectrum of consultancy work, allowing you to pursue skills in geotechnical design and slope stability assessments, alongside high-quality report writing and investigation.
What Youll Do
As a Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer, you will work on a diverse portfolio of projects and be exposed to the full spectrum of consultancy work. Responsibilities include geotechnical design and slope stability assessments, and producing high-quality reports and investigations.
* Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering.
* Contribute to geotechnical design elements including foundations, slope stability, and earth retention systems.
* Prepare and present high-quality technical reports and investigation findings.
* Develop technical skills and pursue opportunities for career progression within the team.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
* Practical experience in Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations
* Demonstrable understanding of contaminated land assessment, risk assessment methodologies, and remediation techniques
* Exposure to geotechnical design principles including foundations, slope stability, and earth retention systems
* Excellent report writing skills and the ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
