Registered Forensic Psychologist – HMP Location: York Salary: £58,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Forensic Psychologist (RFP) to join a pioneering team at HMP – York, committed to rehabilitation and psychological support for both prisoners and staff. You’ll be working under the supervision of a Principal Psychologist, delivering high-quality psychological services that meet HCPC standards. This is a supportive environment with opportunities for development and progression. Key Responsibilities * Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions * Contribute to the supervision and support of Trainee Psychologists * Ensure services adhere to HCPC Standards of Proficiency and Ethics * Support rehabilitation programmes and prisoner resettlement initiatives * Assist with parole assessments and report writing * Help develop strategies to reduce reoffending Requirements * Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) * Experience within secure or custodial settings is advantageous * Familiarity with the Parole Board process and psychological risk assessments (desirable) * RAPP registration (desirable) Now Offering * Part-time or Job Share options considered * Hybrid working available – one day per week from home for full-time staff.
