Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £ - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

A vibrant school in Scunthorpe is seeking a committed and empathetic Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of needs—from moderate to profound—helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Job Responsibilities of the Complex Needs Teaching Assistant (TA):
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex learning needs.
* Assist with personal care and physical support where necessary.
* Work alongside the class teacher and SEN team to adapt and deliver individual learning plans.
* Foster communication, independence, and social development
* Use specialist strategies, such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches (training provided if needed).
* Support pupils during break, lunch, and transitions throughout the school day.
Job Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs (especially PMLD, SLD, or ASD).
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
* Willingness to assist with personal care and manual handling.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.#
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
