Job Overview
As a Lead Project Engineer, you will lead the delivery of cutting‑edge electrical systems and technologies across our next‑generation vehicles. You’ll manage cross‑functional teams, oversee project timelines and budgets, and ensure alignment with electrification, sustainability, and modern luxury. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Responsibilities
* Drive end‑to‑end delivery of electrical engineering projects, from concept through launch.
* Collaborate with design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking milestones, risks, and costs.
* Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership and external partners.
* Ensure engineering solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Operate within Agile squads, contributing to sprint planning and backlog prioritization.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in project management within automotive or high‑tech engineering environments.
* Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architectures, ECUs, wiring systems, and software integration.
* Proficient in CAD (CATIA/NX), PLM (Teamcenter), and JLR systems (WERS, RMDV).
